Note: All NANRIC aluminum shoes are creased but not punched as the position and pitch of the nail hole is best left up to the farrier's discretion.
Dr. Redden' s four point shoes have evolved from years of forging these shoes for a variety of foot problems. The aluminum four point is expertly milled from solid plate aircraft aluminum. The unique characteristics of this shoe provides break-over close to the widest point of the hoof while yet giving good coverage protection to the toe. The medial - lateral branch has reduced break-over and the crease is designed to accommodate straight, drilled nail holes as well as heavy pitch nails. Dr. Redden uses this basic concept shoe as a conservative mechanical aid for a variety of foot ailments. The shoe can be heated and rockered anywhere along the ground surface further increasing the break-over mechanics.
