FAT LAB FORGE CURVED HANDLE KNIVES The owner of Fat Lab Forge is Dan Wirth CJF from Floweree MT. He has been building knives for 11 years and shoeing horses for 18 years which has led to the development of these hoof knives. The blades are out of 5160 steel and there is a multi stage heat treat process to make the knives easy to sharpen and tough enough for a full days work without having to stop and touch them up. The woods used in building the handles vary between tiger wood, maple, walnut and Sapella. All of the knives are tested before they get sent out to make sure the blade angle is perfect and will keep hands and wrists comfortable all day.
